What Questions Will Lead Us to a Voluntary and Thriving Civilization?

If government, the current expression of the myth of authority, is the source of most of our problems today (as we laid out in THRIVE) … If Principles, not Politics, are the way out (as we described in THRIVE II) … then what questions should we be asking that could help us to better understand our predicament and how to achieve a society without authoritarian rule?
Here are some suggestions:
- When, if ever, is it OK for someone to coerce or violate someone else — except in authentic self-defense?
- Can the initiation of force ever be a sustainable basis for a peaceful society?
- Who do you think should rule?
- An individual?
- A small group?
- The majority?
- Everyone should rule his or herself, as long as they don’t violate the person or property of any other.
- Where in your life do you want to be ruled by others?
- Would you want a truly free society — if it also allowed us to be more secure, happy and prosperous?
- What do you think would be the best basis for a Universal Morality — applicable everywhere on Earth and throughout time and space?
- What would a truly free society look like?
- Since we won’t be there immediately, how can we effectively transition to a free and prosperous society and best care for those most in need along the way?
I would love to hear your answers to any of these as well as your own suggested questions in the comments below.
